Getting in-car content right

In- car video is coming. Tesla has lead the way with their V10 update. Whilst everyone agrees in an autonomous car video content will be the “killer app“ – there are a lot of reason to bring an enhanced content experience to the vehicle. Better UX, affordable data, larger screen, powerful hardware – all is now falling to place to bring a video experience to the car.

The best way to start is via an app store. Having the larger SVOD services that cover most of the globe on board is certainly a good idea. But what about local taste? Catch-up services? Original content from that region? China – where different services are the most popular? A challenge for most OEMS when it comes to establish and manage partnerships with content providers across the globe.

The ACCESS Group has taken its vast experience in the connected TV area with millions of TVs and relationships with multiple content providers to create a specialised in-car app store. This is a giant leap forward for OEMs in order to be able to provide a great in-vehicle video experience with the right content for the right region – globally. For any taste. Getting this right will be key to offer next level in car entertainment – tomorrow.
